KATAKOLON,GREECE~May 15, 2007

We went on the most amazing tour to Ancient Olympia. This is where the first olympics were started and held back in the Roman times. This place was hit by a very large earthquake making a lot of the things not standing today. But what is still standing is incredible!!This is Olympia main arena. This use to be surrounded by ancient roman seats surrounding this field. They actually help the shot put event in this very arena in the 2004 summer olypics. It is very cool that they are still using what they can of this historical site!!
These are some of the statues that they were able to preserve and put into the olympia museum. These used to be surrounding the olympic grounds.

This totally puts into perspective how tall these columns are and how amazing to think that they built things like this many many centuries ago.
Can you find me?

CORFU, GREECE~May 14, 2007

Corfu was a really cool place!! We opted not to take a tour this day and it was so much fun just to do our own thing and walk around the town!! We went to what they call the, "old fort". They also have a new fort that we didn't go in but just saw from a distance. This fort was really amazing!! My favorite part about corfu were the knock off sunglasses that were only $9.oo. Can we say DIOR and Georgio Armani!!!Me, my mom(Karen), Joel's mom(Diane), and Tiffany

The old fort had the most amazing views from the top!

This is Corfu's palace that I was so excited to go into....but of course it is closed every Monday for cleaning.
So I kind of have this thing for columns!!

The guys decided that they wanted to go swimming and Joel was the only one not wearing his board shorts. So his dad said if I buy you a speedo you have to wear it. I was laughing so hard!!! Joel hiked the back of the speedo up making it into a thong and was walking around all these people who were laying out. Joel made me delete the pictures that I took because we all know I would have posted them on my blog!!!

SPLIT, CROATIA~May 13, 2007

Here we are in Split, Croatia, the first port of the cruise. To be honest, this place kind of reminded me of California. We went on a tour here of their palace, (if you would call it that). It was fun but we didn't stay off the boat for that long seeing as how there really wasn't that much to do here. You will probably notice that we only took 4 pictures of this stop. But never-the-less, it is still cool to say that we have been to Split, Croatia!!

VENICE, ITALY~May 11-12,2007

Wow!!! So we finally made it to Venice, Italy, after a fun but exhausting day in London! We flew into Venice on May 11th and stayed the night in a gorgeous hotel!! My parents finally caught up with us about 12:30 in the morning after a sequence of some unfortunate events. My parents lost there luggage on the way to Venice and were without their luggage till Wednesday of the cruise.....NOT FUN!! We woke up the next morning and toured the amazing sites of Venice. That night, we boarded the Legend of the Seas cruise ship for an amazing trip of a life time!!Joel got higher!!
As you can see the streets are very narrow in some parts.
Ok, so I really think im a princess now!?

There were pigeons EVERYWHERE in this famous spuare!! (This totally reminded me of Spain)

Venice's I15

Gondolas in Venice are equivalent to the Lexus here in the states!!

LONDON~May 10, 2007

Welcome to the Royal Streets of London!!
After a very long flight the night before, we landed in London!! We were very exhausted but had to wake up rather quickly because we had a full day of sight seeing ahead of us. After getting our luggage and waiting for Joel's parents in customs we found our way to the underground Tube (the subway) that took us to our hotel. The beds looked so inviting when we checked in so we didn't stay long in fear that we would sleep our day away in London. We rode a double-decker bus around town so we could see as much as possible in the short day that we were there. That night we went on a Jack The Ripper tour. We actually walked the steps that Jack did and saw real live pictures of his victims. I know kind of creepy...but still a very cool experience!!

Parliament Building

So I talked with Joel and I think we have found our first home!! What better way for Joel to treat me like a princess then to buy me a castle!! "Christmas at our place!!"
We were both freezing and soaking wet by the time our day in London was over. Thank goodness the actual cruise was hot and sunny!!

We were on the London Eye in this picture. The London Eye is this huge ferris wheel that takes you way up in the air for the most amazing view ever. You stand in this bubble shaped enclosure and it takes about 20 min. to go around the entire thing once.

LONDON BRIDGE!! This is the famous london bridge that eveyone has heard about!! It is definitely the coolest bridge I have ever seen! London was so amazing because you just felt like royalty there. I swear I thought any minute I would see Prince William driving down the street.

"Trip" of a life time!!!

Now when I say trip of a life time, I literally mean people were tripping all around us when we were in Europe! They really need to get the clue that cobble stone streets are very hazardous! But for reals, Joel and I went on the most amazing vacation ever on a Mediterranean Cruise and I am so excited to Blog about it and share our entire trip with all of our friends and family. We also went with my parents and Joel's parents and another couple. I am going to post a blog for each day that we were there and explain where we were and the amazing sites that we saw!! I hope you enjoy the new johnson jabber blog!!

I don't know what I'm doing!!

So everyone who is married has this thing called a blog. And well I have been married for almost a year now and I guess I'm finally getting on board. I really have no idea how to do this and I'm hoping after I'm done typing this that it will show up on the johnson jabber blog! My sister-in-law, Shauna, is pro at blogging so once she gets back from her amazing trip to Spain I will have to call her for some lessons.
