Joel's Surprise 30th B-day Party!!!

Joel turned the big 3-0!!! He turned 30 on February 14, 2011 (Valentine's Day). A couple of weeks before his birthday I through him a surprise party. He was totally surprised and had no idea! I was so glad that I could pull of a surprise party for him.

So many of his friends were able to come. We had a blast!! I met Joel for dinner with his business partner Brad and his wife. They have never been to our house before so we had it all planned to go to dinner and then come back to our place for dessert so they could see it. Little did Joel know they weren't the only ones coming for dessert!!! SURPRISE!!!

Happy 30th!!!!

Joel's favorite dessert is ice cream so I did an ice cream bar with every kind of topping you could possibly think of!!! It was delicious!!!

Happy Birthday babe!!! You are an amazing husband and great dad!!! We love you so much!!!

Fun in the SNOW!!!!

SNOW!!!!

We got so much snow this winter that we definitely were out playing in it quite frequently. There wasn't much else to do to get out of the house. Crew likes the snow sometimes..... other times he was ready to go back inside pretty quick. He wasn't walking yet so I'm sure it got pretty cold just sitting in snow.

Christmas Festivities!!!

We went to the Festival of Trees at the South Town Expo Center and Crew sat on Santa's lap!!! We were so excited for him to sit on his lap and after a long line this is what we got...... A very scared little Crew!! haha He was screaming bloody murder. Everyone was stopping to watch and laugh. Poor little guy. It does make for some great memories though! I love me some Crew!!!

We also went and drove around the Thanksgiving Point Christmas lights. Crew loved seeing all the lights. He was obsessed with all the lights throughout the entire month of December! You're supposed to stay in your car when you drive through the lights but we jumped out for a quick picture! We went with our very best friends Pete and Toni!

Crew was lucky enough to sit on Santa's lap twice!! We went to dinner at the Spaghetti Factory with my cousin Richard and his wife Analeis and they had a Santa at Trolley Square. Unfortunately Crew's excitement didn't change....

After dinner at the Spaghetti Factory we went and walked around Temple Square! One of my favorite things to do during the month of December. It is so breathtaking!!!

For Christmas we headed to Colorado to spend it with my family. The night we got in we went to Winter Wonderlights. They have a bunch of lights that you walk through and then a bunch of cute little houses all decorated. They even had reindeer!!!

For Christmas we gave my mom hand wreaths from each of the grandchildren. This is Crew making his hand wreath. He did ok in the beginning and was screaming by the end. They turned out so cute!!!

Christmas Eve Dinner!!

We even had a special visitor that night!! Santa!!!

You would think 3rd times a charm for Crew seeing Santa.....Not so much....Maybe next year!!

Every Christmas Eve my family gets Christmas pajamas that we open and the kiddos got a few extra fun things!!! Crew loved his nativity!!

Christmas morning! Santa came and did not disappoint! Crew loved all of his toys!!!

My dad with our cute cat Tiger!!! We no longer have either of our cats. We had them for about 13 years. They were such nice cats and really a part of our family! Honey and Tiger are missed!!!

Crew loved every minute of opening presents. I think he was a little overwhelmed and just wanted to play with each toy that he opened instead of having to move on the the next present. He got a little tuckered out in the middle as well and had to go take a nap. That's the way to do it because then he still had more presents to open when he woke up!

Bradli got this awesome pink princess scooter and the kids loved driving it around the basement!!!

Our Nephew Hudson was born on December 27th!!! We were so excited to be there for his big arrival! His awesome big brother Jaden was so excited that it was a boy!!! They have a boy and a girl already so they didn't find out the sex of the baby until he was born!! We were all so excited!!!

I am so excited to have a fireplace and mantel that I can decorate and hang our stockings from!

We had such a fun month of December and amazing Christmas!!! We did so many festive things and I think we are going to have a lot of Christmas traditions in the future!!!

Thanksgiving in Washington!!!

We spent Thanksgiving in Washington, with Joel's family, this year! It was a very different kind of Thanksgiving than we have ever experienced before. Every single person got the flu. It would only last about one or two days and no one had it at the same time. So it went through the entire week of having a new person sick every day. Needless to say we stayed inside most of the week and watched a lot of movies.

Joel has had extremely bad luck with Thanksgivings. The last time we had Thanksgiving in Washington he couldn't eat Thanksgiving dinner because he had mouth surgery the day before. This Thanksgiving he was the lucky one to get sick on Thanksgiving Day and couldn't eat very much. Poor guy!!!

Crew on the other hand was totally ready to get his Turkey grub on!!

Crew had so much fun playing with all the toys that Grandma Johnson had out for the kids!!!

The start of Crew's climbing days!!! Little did I know this would turn into climbing up and standing on our kitchen table!!!

Crew had so much fun playing with his cousin Zachary who is a few months older than him!!

I ended up getting sick the night that we went to zoolights but I was so sick of being in the house that I didn't care and pushed through it.

It was pouring rain the entire time we were there and we were pretty soaked by the end. I wouldn't expect anything less from Washington though! It's all part of the fun experience!!

Joel's sister Melanie and her cute family came with us. The kids loved the lights and the rain didn't even phase them!!! They thought it was great!!

On our way to the airport to come home we stopped and visited Joel's Grandpa Johnson. It was so good to see him and visit with him for a while.

Hopefully we will have better luck next year when we are all together and won't get sick!!!

Crew's 1st Birthday and Halloween Adventures!!!

Crew turned 1 on October 27, 2010! We had such a fun day with him!!! We took him to a pumpkin patch with a little petting zoo. He loves animals!!

Later that night we took him to Pirate Island for dinner!! He was the cutest pirate there!!

This was my trunk that I decorated for Trunk-or-Treat but then we got rained out and ended up just having it in the church..... Oh well I have my trunk planned out for this Halloween!!

On Halloween we went to this cool pirate exhibit that this family does at their house. It was pretty amazing!! It was planned after the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland.

I thought it was about time that I blogged Crew's 1st Birthday Party and try and catch up in the blogging world!

We celebrated Crew's 1st Birthday on October 23rd. He had a pirate dress up party! It was so much fun and to be honest I have no idea how I could ever top this party. I think a trip to McDonald's may be in order for his 2nd Birthday!!!

Gardner Village and a spooky Halloween Cruise!!!

My parents came in town a few days before Crew's Birthday Party for my cousin Brian's wedding. After the luncheon we went to Gardner Village. We never miss a year coming here at Halloween time. I love seeing all of the witches. It is such a cute place!!

These witches were great!!! They were shooting commercials or something! It was so fun watching them!

The next night we went on a Scary Provo Halloween Cruise! They have hundreds of carved pumpkins that reflect off of the water. And they even have a pirate come and attack the boat and tell scary stories! It was so fun to see!!

Hee Haw Farms!!! 10/15/10

We took Crew to Hee Haw Farms on October 15th. We all had so much fun and he loved seeing the huge pumpkins that were bigger than him!!!

I guess since we've moved to Spanish Fork we needed to introduce Crew to a tractor!!! ;)

He is a born farmer.....such a natural!!

September Fun 2010!!!

I am seriously so behind on blogging it is horrible!!! I am really trying to get caught up little by little and the plan is to be caught up by Christmas so I can post all of those fun festivities shortly after!!!

Here is a re-cap of September. My mom flew back to Utah with us after Cabo. We had so much fun going to Swiss Days and playing outside! We went with Joel's sister Janelle and Jeremy to the Thanksgiving Point Farm. Crew loves coming here and we have been here several times this past summer and fall season. Crew's favorite part is riding the pony!! He laughs so hard. I love it!

My dad was able to come into town, as well, over Labor Day. We went with my parents to Trafalga in Lehi. We played mini golf, rode on the merry-go-round, and played on these fun, push them yourselves, go carts! I love it they are for little kids to be pushed around in. I guess that includes Joel too!! ;)

Joel's mom was able to come in town for a few days to help with our new niece Kate that was born on August 24th!!! It was so fun to be able to spend time with her while she was here. We went to the Dinosaur Museum and out to lunch to Cafe Rio! Yum!

We also gave Crew his very first official hair cut. We've trimmed the top before but this was trimmers and all!!!

Cabo August 2010!!!

We went on our annual trip to Cabo in August. Our reservation got messed up so they actually put us up in two pent house suits at another resort called The Sunset. We have always visited this resort when we have come so we were really excited to actually have a chance to stay there. I was so excited to be able to take Crew. Last year I was pregnant with him. This may have been our last time going so it was really special for us to share the fun with Crew. He loves the water!!!

This is the pool at the resort where we normally stay. We spent a day here and had fun playing in the pool and the beach. Crew loved all of the swimming! He had so much fun playing with his cousins!!

On the way to Mexico of course the airlines broke another one of our strollers. Luckily we took the cheapest stroller we could find. Crew was three wheeling it all week!!

The resort that we stayed at is so spread out that you take these over sized golf carts everywhere to get around. Crew loved riding in them.

We have loved every minute of you Cabo!!! Thanks for a ton of memories and I'm sure we will make it back again someday. Besides, I think Crew needs another stamp in his passport!!!

A Seven Peaks Summer and So Much More!!!

Where to even begin.... I have been so behind on blogging and we have done so much in the last couple of months. I finally sat down and said I better get caught up on my blog or it will never happen. So after you look at this post keep scrolling down because there are so many new posts before this one!!!

We got seven peaks passes this summer and have loved every minute of them! Crew loves the water and we have gone so many times. Just call us pool rats!!! Here is a recap of all of the photos from seven peaks so far this summer.

Our landscaping is finally in!!! We are so excited to be able to play on it and enjoy it. It turned out great!!

We just did grass in the backyard for now with some curbing surrounding the house. We will add trees and plants in the back over time.

On July 28th I threw a Baby Shower for my sister-in-law Janelle! It was so much fun and we had such a good turn out! Thanks so much to everyone that came! I had so much fun planning this baby shower. They are so much more fun for girls I think!!! I love PINK!!!

Janelle is going to be induced at the end of this month and we are so excited to meet the newest addition to the family!!!

The 24th of July!!!

The 24th of July is a pretty big deal here in Spanish Fork. They start the morning off with a fun parade that we went to. Then we had brunch at Magleby's Fresh. Then walked down Main where they have all these tents set up with food and fun things to buy. After those festivities we went to Seven Peaks.

That night we decided to just stay in our backyard to watch the fireworks. We heard that they set them off at the sports complex right by our house. We didn't know how well we would see them but thought it was worth a try. They were INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Front row seats!!!! They were right there in our faces. The show was even better than the Stadium of Fire fireworks. So next year we are throwing a big party in our backyard and then watching the fireworks!! It's so perfect!!

Cascade Springs and the Timpanogas Cave!!!

The weekend after the 4th my parents came in town. We had such a fun weekend with them and did so many fun things. We drove the Alpine Loop and went and walked around the Cascade Springs. Then we went to Park City and walked down Main Street and did some shopping.

The springs were absolutely gorgeous! There are so many beautiful things to see and do in Utah and we don't take advantage of it as much as we should.

The next day we hiked up to the Timpanogas Caves.

Joel did an awesome job carrying Crew the whole way up and down. It was a hard enough hike doing it on your own without having to carry someone.

The views were breathtaking

I'm so glad that we finally hiked to these caves. I've always wanted to do it and we needed to before Crew was more mobile and could walk because that would be so dangerous unless he was in a hiking backpack.

The caves were incredible!! If you haven't hiked to them I strongly suggest doing it. Everyone needs to see these awesome caves! And yes it was really hot hiking up to them but once inside it is so cool and refreshing.

Crew was so good through the entire tour. He didn't make a peep. The tour guide said that she wants Crew to be the mascot for the Timpanogas Caves because babies usually get really scared and scream through the entire thing until they are finally escorted out!!

We had so much fun with my parents in town. My dad had to leave after the weekend but my mom was able to stay for two more weeks!!! We had fun shopping, going to lunch, going to Seven Peaks, going to the park, and so much more!!!

4th of July!!!

Crew's 4th of July outfit!!!

On Saturday night we went and watched the Stadium of Fire Fireworks. They always put on a good show. And Joel said it wouldn't be 4th of July without some bottled Rootbeer!!!

We watched the fireworks with Janelle, Jeremy, and Brody. I bought Crew and Brody glow sticks. They loved them!! I also bought poprocks because I figured they are like fireworks in your mouth....everyone laughed at me when I said that......well I thought they were good. haha

Since the 4th was on Sunday everyone had Monday off too! It was a long weekend to celebrate our Nation! On Monday we went to Park City and had lunch at the Blue Iguana. I love this place!

June 29th- MY 25th B-DAY!!!

On June 29th I turned the big 2-5!! We had such a fun day. Joel took the day off of work and we went to Seven Peaks and then had dinner at Tucanos! The food was of course delicious. We also did some shopping at a new store in the Riverwoods, Called to Surf. It's a new surf store and they have so many cute things!!

Joel made me a very yummy Birthday cake all by himself!!! He was so proud!

Crew's 1st Time Boating!!!

Crew's 1st time boating was on June 28, 2010!!! We had to go and get him his very own life jacket and everything!! We were so excited for him and from the picture I'm sure he was pretty excited himself!! haha He's like what do you have me in now!!

It was so fun to be able to go out on the boat and actually do something! Last year when we would go I was preggers so there was no fun for me. This year I was able to go wakeboarding again and it was a blast!!

Happy 1st Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day babe!!! Last year I was pregnant with our little one so Joel kind of had a Father's Day. This year Joel was able to experience a full blown Father's Day so I wanted to make his first extra special.

Joel woke up to presents!!! I surprised him with a tennis racquet and some clothes. We have a really nice sports complex right by us with some really nice tennis courts so I thought we would have so much fun playing tennis together!

I also surprised Joel with a personalized ice cream cake. Ice cream cakes are his absolute favorite. I had so much fun planning all of these surprises. Joel is such an amazing husband and Dad. We are so lucky to have him in our lives. Crew loves his daddy so much and has so much fun with him. Joel always says how he can't wait for Crew to get older to take him to baseball games and all sorts of fun daddy son things. We love you Joel!!!

We just got back from a very fun trip to Washington for Joel's sister, Melissa's wedding! It was so much fun and turned out to be beautiful! The day couldn't have been any better especially for Washington weather. It rained in the morning but by the time we got to the Temple it was gorgeous out.

Crew's 6th time on an airplane. He is becoming a pro at traveling!!!

The Seattle, Washington Temple

On Saturday, we went over to Joel's Aunt and Uncle's house to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa Brown's 60th wedding anniversary. It was so fun to have the entire family there. We had delicious food and enjoyed the warm weather!!!

Crew can sit up now!!! He is growing up so fast. Where did my little baby go? Crew loved playing with his cousins. He loves Zachary who is a few months older than him. They had so much fun playing on the grass together!

Girl Time!!!

I had such a fun week hanging out with my best girlfriends!! Last Saturday was Mason's 1st bday party. It was so much fun and Colin did a great job with everything! It is so sad because all of my girls are moving away. I will miss these fun times that we have together and all the laughs. I will miss their adorable babies as well. I can't believe that most of us are married and have kids. We have known each other for so long. Amy and I were in the same kindergarten class. Crazy!!!

Cindy was in town from Arizona for three weeks. It was so fun getting together with her a few times. She borrowed a baby for the picture because she felt left out. Hilarious!! I love her!

My friend Toni and her little girl Trystan have also been in town. Crew and Trystan kicking back watching a little Baby Einstein!! They had fun together!

We had fun going to dinner and hanging out at the park. The weather has finally been gorgeous and I have definitely been taking advantage of that.

We finished the week with going to Park City on Thursday. We had lunch at the Blue Iguana on Main Street and did some shopping. A perfect girls day!!

4 Year Anniversary!!!

A wedding, an apartment, a condo, a baby, and a house later...... we celebrated our 4 year anniversary on Thursday, May 20th!!!

My mom was also here for ten days. It was so much fun having her here. Last time was a little hectic with moving in so this time was spent relaxing and having quality grandma-crew time. We were looking forward to doing a lot of fun things outside but the weather had a different idea so we enjoyed staying inside where it wasn't windy and raining. Luckily we were able to get to the park once while she was here.

Crew is going to love this park when he is older. We can enjoy it now since we have an excuse to go to the park!!! We are having more fun with it than Crew is at this point. He does love to swing though!!

Some Cards, a Chessire Cat, and Mother's Day!!!

Last weekend we went to an Alice and Wonderland birthday party. We had dress assignments and Joel and Crew had to dress up as cards and I had to dress up as the Chessire Cat. I had so much fun making our costumes!!! Joel was the ace of diamonds and baby Crew the ace of hearts.

Happy Mother's Day!!! I want to wish my mom and Joel's mom a very Happy Mother's Day!!! Today was my first official mother's day. Last year I was pregnant with this little stud. I had a very fun and special day. I woke up and Joel made me french toast. Then it was off to church. Tonight we had Janelle, Jeremy, and Brody over for dinner and Joel barbequed for us. It was delicious!! We wanted to go to the park that is right by our new house to check it out. We had so much fun playing frisbee and playing on the playground. Crew enjoyed swinging for the first time!! The only downer was it got pretty cold. I want to thank my wonderful husband for making my Mother's Day so special!!! I love being a mom to my precious baby Crew!! He is such an amazing son!! I love my little family!

A Sneak Peak!!!

Here is a sneak peak into our newly built home!! That's right we have moved out of our condo. We had this house built and it is finally finished (for the most part) and we moved into it two weeks ago. We have been so busy getting things unpacked and livable. My parents came out when we moved in and helped us for a week. We could not have done it without them!!! Thanks so much!! We also could not have done this move without Joel's sister and her husband, Janelle and Jeremy. They let us live with them for three weeks while we were in between homes. We are also very excited because they have decided to build right next door to us. They should be in in about six weeks so that will be so much fun to be neighbors!!!

I have had so much fun decorating!!! Here are the parts of the house that are pretty much done. I still have some work to do in the bedrooms. I love to decorate and so does my mom so we had so much fun getting the kitchen and family room all ready to go!!!

Crew is 6 months today!!! I can't believe how big he is getting. He rolled over all the way from back to tummy yesterday!!! He has been trying for so long but would always get stuck on his arm. Yesterday he figured it out!! He's been rolling over from tummy to back for a couple of months now but it took him a little longer to figure out back to tummy. I can't believe that my little baby is already six months. Time goes by so fast!!!

Last weekend we went to Lyla's 1st Birthday Party!!! I can't believe she is one already!! I feel like we just saw her in the hospital yesterday!!! She is adorable and look at that outfit. The theme was Cirque Du Bebe!! So cute!! Analeis and Richard did a great job and we had so much fun!

Crew is 4 months old!!! I can't believe how time passes so quickly right before your eyes!! Cousin Karly came and took some adorable pictures of Crew. They turned out so cute and I can't wait to get them printed and hang them on the wall!! He is growing up so fast and I just want time to stand still for just a little bit. Life is so crazy right now that I feel like I am missing out on so many things with him. Thanks Karly they turned out amazing!!!

Breckenridge, a Birthday, and RSV

Last week Crew and I flew to Colorado to spend the week with my family in Breckenridge. Joel had to work the beginning of the week so he drove up on Wednesday to spend the rest of the week with us. We had so much fun and can't believe it has already come and gone. The first night there we went to a very delicious Mexican restaurant. It was snowing that night and was so gorgeous. We got Crew all bundled up and took him out for a stroll downtown.

When we bot back that night Bradli and Jaden had so much fun playing in a jetted bubble bath. They loved the jetted tub in Grandma and Grandpa's room.

The next day we walked down main street and went in this hilarious hat store. They have every kind of hat you could think of. What a perfect store to get things for a costume party. My parents got a little crazy in this store and Jaden loved it!!! He loves having crazy fun Grandparents! I love my mom with purple hair!! haha

We barely made it to Breckenridge to see the ice sculptures. They took them down the day after we got there. They start with just a huge block of ice and sculpt it into something amazing. Here is Shauna and Jaden.

Shauna took Jaden skiing so we all went out to watch. I bet you don't see to many strollers out on the slopes!! Crew is destined to be a great snowboarder. He is starting early!!! All of us were supposed to go snowboarding and skiing on Tuesday but Monday night was not a good night for the boys. My dad and brother Doug got really sick and were throwing up all night. Shauna and I still went snowboarding and it was so much fun to have a girl's afternoon together. We would get so carried away talking on the chair lift that we would almost forget to put the bar up. Leave it to girls to do this!! haha It was a beautiful, sunny day and were so glad to get up on the slopes.

Crew loves swimming. He loves it so much that it just puts him right to sleep. This floaty was perfect and he got a good nap in!!!

Joel finally came!!! We missed him the first part of the week. Crew loved swimming with his daddy.

On Wednesday night we went to dinner at Bubba Gumps and then walked around the shops. We found this really cute little cupcake store. They made this cupcake out of snow! We ended up getting candy covered carmel apples. YUM!!!

Joel turned 29 on Valentine's Day!!!! Happy Birthday Joel!!! We celebrated with my family while in Colorado. The years are flying by!!!

Jaden loves his Uncle Joel

On Friday Crew and I woke up with colds. Everyone else went snowboarding and skiing while we stayed back at the hotel. We drove home to Utah on Saturday and Crew was still coughing but we thought it was just a cold. Come Tuesday, yesterday, he had a temperature of 101 consistantly throughout the day. I called the nurse and she said that she wanted me to bring him in seeing as how young he is. We took Crew to the doctor and sure enough he was tested and has RSV and an ear infection. Poor little guy!!! Unfortunately there isn't anything they can give him for RSV since it is a virus. We just have to give him baby tylenol and run the humidifier and hope that he can get through this himself. They did give him an antibiotic for his ear infection so hopefully that will help him. I took his temperature in the middle of the night and it was at 99.9 so I was happy to see that it was going down. When he woke up this morning his temp was 98.7! I am so glad that he is starting to get over his illness. Who knows though it may spike up again but we are staying inside hibernating for the mean time. It doesn't help that I don't feel good either. It's hard taking care of your little one when you are sick too but we are hanging in there.

Thanks mom and dad for such a fun trip to Breckenridge. It's sad that so many people had to get sick during the week but tis the season.

3 Month B-day!!!

Crew turned 3 months yesterday!!! I can't believe our little guy has been here for 3 months already. He is getting so big and growing up so fast. He is so much fun and we can't imagine life without ever having him. We love you Crew!!!

My girlfriends Amy and Colin came over yesterday and we made these cute Love letters for Valentine's Day. I think they turned out really good and it was so much fun to reminisce on old times.

Our precious baby boy, Crew Marx Johnson, was blessed on New Year's Day 2010!!! Joel blessed Crew at his parents house in Washington. So many of his family members were able to be there for that very special time. My parents were able to fly over from Colorado which we really appreciated. Joel gave Crew a wonderful blessing. I appreciate him so much for being able to bless our son. That means the world to the both of us!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! We went to Washington this year to spend Christmas and New Year's with Joel's family. We had so much fun but before we left we did a little celebrating with just the three of us. Our first Christmas with our little family!

We took Crew to church for the first time and he did so good!!! I am so glad our church is now at 11 with this little one!! (BTW I also cut bangs which are so fun! Thanks Colin!!)

We celebrated Christmas just the three of us before we went to Washington because I did not want to have to worry about taking everything with us. Crew got so many fun things!!!

Crew's second plane ride and he is only two months old!!! This time we were able to bring his car seat on which is so much nicer!!!

Crew was so excited to meet his other cousins Bryce and Zachary. The picture below goes Bryce (5 yrs), Brody (2 yrs), Zachary (4 mos), and Crew (2 mos). It was so fun to meet Zachary!! He is such an adorable and happy baby!!!

I love this comparison between Zachary and Crew. Zachary weighs 24 lbs at 4 months and Crew is at 11 lbs at 2 months. I love how big Zachary is!!! He is so cute and we loved meeting our new nephew and spending the week with him!!

It is a tradition that every year we get Christmas pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve. My parents did this for us all growing up and it is something that I definitely want to continue on with my kids!!!

Christmas Day!!!

We had our very own little Santa Claus!!! Christmas is so much more magical with little ones around. It reminds me of my childhood and all of the fun things that we would do as a family.

Happy New Year!! My parents flew to Washington too. They came to celebrate New Years and also for Crew's blessing. We blessed Crew in Washington. Stay tuned for Crew's blessing post.

While my parents were in Washington we went to the Washington History Museum and they were having a model train exhibit. It was really cool to see all of the trains.

There is a bridge that goes across the freeway to the Glass museum so we walked across the bridge to see all of the cool glass sculptures.

We also went to Point Defiance and saw a ton of raccoons!!! This little guy came right up to the car.

We had such a great time in Washington!! Thank you so much for a wonderful Christmas and New Year!!!

Thanksgiving in Colorado!!!

Crew has had quite the first month of life! We went to Colorado for Thanksgiving and Crew was only 3 1/2 weeks old. Crew has experienced many firsts already. He has been on his first plane ride!! He loved looking out the window. haha Or maybe mom just made him face that direction... He did so good on the plane. He ate and slept the entire time. It is quite the new experience flying with a little one though. All the things to worry about, the stroller, car seat, bags.

When we got to Colorado we were welcomed by two very special people. Crew's cousins Jaden and Bradli!!! Poor guy was hungry so he wasn't to excited. His cousins love him so much and were so cute with him!! Bradli already going in for a smooch!!

The Broncos played a couple of times while we were there so we had to support our team. GO BRONCOS!!

Crew also went bowling! To bad the bowling balls weighed more than he did or he may have tried it out!! Jaden loves to bowl!

Happy Thanksgiving! Crew's 1st Thanksgiving. This onesie was so perfect for the holiday.

On Black Friday we went to the Castle Rock Outlets. It was a gorgeous day and so fun to get out.

Crew was also able to sit on Santa's lap at the outlets.

That night we went to Zoolights at the Denver Zoo. We had so many visitors come for Thanksgiving this year!! We had two of my cousins come with their adorable families and then me and my two brothers with our families. My Aunt and Uncle also came with my cousin Kimberly. It was so much fun having so many people together for Thanksgiving!

Our little guy has arrived!!! I went into labor at 2:30 Tuesday morning and went to the hospital at 5:30 am. I was already dilated to a 4 and I had my IV and epidural by 6:30. After 12 hours our sweet angel arrived!!! My mom flew in Monday morning and we had a very fun day walking around Gardner Village and shopping. Little did we know that I would go into labor that night!!! We called my dad as soon as I was admitted into the hospital and he left Colorado right then and drove to Utah. He made it to the hospital at 2:43 and I delivered Crew at 2:48. He made it with 5 minutes to spare!!! I was so happy that both my parents were able to be there with us on this special day. We feel so blessed to have such a sweet little miracle brought into our lives. He is so precious and we are having so much fun with him!!!

I have been slacking majorly on our blog. So many things have been going on that when I don't have something to do I want to just sit and do nothing!!! We are getting so close for our little guy to come that I figure I should catch up on my blogging before I really don't have time to update anything!!

I have had two very fun baby showers!!! The first shower my cousin's wives, Erin and Analeis, and my Aunt Shauneen put together for me!! It turned out so good and it was so fun to have all of my family from Utah there to celebrate little Crew's arrival.

Erin made these adorable letters for Crew's nursery. They are perfect and add so much to the room!!! She is so talented!! She also made the diaper cake as well. I appreciate all the work that all three of them put into my shower!

Annual Trip to Cabo!!!

A few weeks ago we went to Colorado for the weekend and then we were off to Cabo San Lucas!!! We had so much fun spending time with my family!! Here we are in front of my brother Doug and his wife Shauna's house on our way for a fun bike ride. Bradli kept getting turned upside down in their little cart so she did not enjoy it!! Jaden and Bradli loved playing at the park that we rode our bikes to. I love this face and her big blue eyes!!!

Jaden is fearless and he loves going down the big slides and climbing all over the playground!!!

It was a quick trip to Colorado but so fun to see my family!!! We miss them so much!! It was then time to go to Cabo for the week. We had such a great and relaxing time. I didn't get to do all of the fun activities that we normally do in Cabo since I was seven months pregnant but we still had a great time!!! We did get to go on a snorkeling tour which we had never done before so that was really fun.

This cool pirate ship was out where we went snorkeling. I spent most of the week in the water because it was so hot!!!

It wouldn't have been a trip to Cabo without going to Lover's Beach. Joel proposed to me on Lover's Beach 4 years ago!!! We make sure to go their every August!!!

Joel's sister Missy and her boyfriend Brandon came with us. We had such a fun day together!!!

On the boat back from Lover's Beach we saw beautiful fish. The boat driver was feeding them tortillas. True Mexican fish!!! This was a picture from over the edge of the boat. The fish were going crazy!!!

Missy and I went and got pedicures together!! It was a perfect way to finish up a week in Mexico!

In Washington we bought this AWESOME Hurley sweatshirt for Baby Crew!!! I had no idea that they carried things like this at TJ Max. We got this for $12.00!!!

This week my friend Colin took me to this very cute fabric store and we got to crafting!! She helped me make these very cute baby wipe cases. They turned out so cute!!

My friend also has a talent that I wish I had. She can sew!!! She sewed this very cute blanket for me!! I helped her pin it!! haha This blanket will be perfect for the nursery!! I love it and I am glad we were able to find the perfect colors and fabric to match Crew's bedroom. I have some left over fabric so we are going to make a smaller security blanket for him and also a pillow for the nursery as well. I love making things!!!

Washington!!!

We went to Washington for 10 days which was so much fun!!! Joel had to get mouth surgery unfortunately, but we still had a blast!! On the 4th of July we went out on the boat during the day to see the gorgeous scenery. I love the colorful beach houses above!!

We went under the Narrows Bridge which was very cool!

That night the whole family jumped on the boat and we headed to Tacoma to watch the fireworks that they light off of the water. Joel has always said that this is the coolest place to watch fireworks because the reflection off the water is amazing!

As you can see, fireworks on the water are amazing!!!!

A few days later we took the Ferry to Seattle where we ate at Red Robin and went to a Mariners game.

We had really good seats. We could see everything perfectly!! The day couldn't have been better for a baseball game. We had so much fun even though the Mariners lost. :(

Joel's face was swollen in this picture. Poor guy!! He went through a lot. You can see my baby bump a little bit in this picture. It's not the best picture so I will have to work on getting a side profile for those of you who have asked.

We went boating quite a bit while we were there. It is so hard to be on a boat and not being able to go wakeboarding or tubing. Janelle and Jeremy took Brody tubing. He loved it!!

My 24th Birthday was on June 29th!!! I can't believe how time flys by. I got a glider and ottoman for my birthday to add to the nursery. Here are some updated pictures of the room. A couple of weekends ago Joel and I went up to American Fork Canyon and drove the alpine loop. We had never been up that canyon before in the entire time that we have lived here. It is so pretty!!! We love it so much more than Provo Canyon.

My family came in town this weekend for my Grandpa's funeral. It was a very nice service and will definitely be remembered.

On Saturday we got to come up to Park City to see my cousins and have a fun time. Jaden loved this 4 wheeler at my Aunt Vickie and Uncle Steve's house. I definitely think he needs one for Christmas this year!!!

We then headed up the road to the Ranch where some of us went horseback riding. I was so sad that I couldn't go because I am prego. Joel had his first experience riding a horse and he loved it!!! I can't believe he had never ridden a horse before!! We have got to get this kid out more. haha

Those of us who either didn't or couldn't go rode on the Ranger with the kiddos. We have my mom who is holding my niece Bradli. Then Brock, Jaden and Me. My cousin Richard is in the front holding their new baby Lyla. We took it all the way up to the Saddleback chair lift at The Canyons Resort. Once we got up here it really started to rain and we still had to make the trip down. Here we go.....

We ran into the horseback riders again and we were all soaked at this point. It was so much fun!!! Doug and Shauna loved it!!

I jumped out to take a picture with Joel and his horse. Don't we all look so attractive!!!

I know I couldn't ride the horse but I could at least jump on for a quick picture right..... That is my cousin Roger holding the horse for me. He was so nice to take us all on a tour.

Although it was a sad weekend with my grandpa passing we enjoyed all being together as a family and celebrating his wonderful life as well. We will miss being with all of our family. Thanks for a fun time together!!!

I have to brag about Joel for a second!!! He has been more than amazing in getting things ready for the baby and I'm not even due till October!!! I knew girls started "nesting" and wanting to get things ready for the new baby but I didn't know that guys went through that too!! Haha!! Joel is so excited to get things ready that he spent all day yesterday building this amazing loft in our garage for storage. He is all about getting things organized and ready for our little skater boy to come!!! I appreciate all the hard work that he has put into this so far and for making my life less stressful. We will be ready for this little guy before you know it with so much time to spare.

I also have to share this steal of a deal!!! We originally wanted to get a dresser that we could use even after the baby and just put a changing pad on the top and then we came across this. This changing table is $370 at RC Willey. We liked it a lot but didn't want to spend that on just a changing table. On Saturday, Joel suggested that we go to the RC Willey Outlet to check things out and we found the same one there. The price was $217 and we were considering buying it at that price when a salesman came up to us and said if you take this home tonight we will give it to you for $125. SOLD!!!

3 Year Anniversary, A Baby Boy, and a Crib!!!

Today is our 3 year Anniversary!!! I can't believe it has been 3 years already. Time really does fly. We both took the day off of work to celebrate that and to also find out what we are having.

We are having a BOY!!! I don't think there is any mistaking from the picture below!! Joel is so proud!! Haha

We also went and picked up our crib today and set it up. It looks so good and we love it so much. I can't wait to get bedding. If I can find any that I like. I am having a difficult time with bedding. That is also the purse that Joel got me for Mother's Day that I am using for my diaper bag. I love it!!

A couple of weeks ago we had a baby shower for my really good friend Colin. She is due in June with a baby boy!!! We had so much fun and I was so happy to get all of us girls back together. Thanks Jenna and Cindy for making the trip from Vegas and Arizona!!! We had a fun weekend together!

Happy Easter!! We had a weekend full of fun Easter activities! On Saturday we dyed eggs. I love this tradition and have to do it every year!! Besides, I love egg salad sandwiches that you get to enjoy afterwards!!

I love decorating for every holiday!! I grew up in a house where every holiday was decorated for. It would seem so weird to not carry on that same tradition.

On Sunday we went over to Janelle and Jeremy's for dinner and an Easter egg hunt. Brody was so cute and he caught on quite quickly when he realized there was candy in the eggs. Once the candy was all gone the excitement was over!! He is a kid after my own heart!!

We had a very Happy Easter and all I can say is bring on Spring!! I am so tired of the weather playing games on us. One day it is gorgeous and the next it is raining and 40 degrees!!

A couple of weekends ago my family came to town!! Doug, Shauna, Jaden, and Bradli were able to come for the weekend and my parents stayed all week! It was so good to see them! On Saturday we went to BYU to get Jaden and Bradli some BYU gear and so that Doug and Shauna could see how much it has changed since they left. On Sunday we went to my grandparents house so that they could meet cute miss Bradli!! They haven't met her and they haven't seen Jaden in a long time. It was so fun for them to see they great grandparents!

Vegas!!!

Over Valentine's weekend and Joel's Birthday we went to Vegas to spend some time with his family. It was fun to go back to my roots. I have to say it is very weird going there as a tourist and not having my house to go home to. We had such a fun weekend! I was pretty sad though because I was hoping to be able to pull out my flip flops and get out of the cold for a while. Lets just say it felt pretty close to Utah weather.

The first night there we went up the Eiffel Tower. It was freezing at the top so we didn't stay up there to long unfortunately. I love this picture!!Here we are freezing to death at the top. It was so windy!!

Joel's birthday is on Valentine's Day. Happy Birthday Babe!!! That night we went to a yummy mexican restaurant with Joel's parents and Janelle and Jeremy. It was also Jeremy's Birthday. Totally random that Joel and his brother-in-law have the same birthday on Valentine's Day.

After dinner we went to the grocery store to get some things for Joel's Birthday cake. I asked Joel to go and grab a cart and this is what he came back with. I was laughing so hard. I know they usually have fun carts with little seats on the front for kids but this one was just absolutely obnoxious. Everyone was staring at us and we had like three things in the cart with no kids. I wouldn't expect anything less from Joel. He is always making me laugh and keeping me on my toes!!!

Christmas in Colorado!!! (a ton of pictures!)

This year we spent Christmas with my family in Colorado. We had a long and very needed 12 day break!!! It was so much fun and we did so many things, as you will find out there are a ton of pictures on this post! The first day that we were there was Christmas Eve. We all went bowling and had so much fun!!

Every Christmas Eve we get Christmas pajamas. Here we are with our new pj's!

The day after Christmas we went to Breckenridge and spent four days there. The first night we went to Bubba Gumps and walked down Main Street.

The next day we went snowboarding and it was -11 degrees!!! It was so cold as you can tell. We had to cover everything. On the way down I totally started crying because my face was burning so bad. When I got to the bottom Doug and Joel both looked at me like oh crap...... Apparently the end of my nose was completely white and I was getting frost bite. Thanks to Joel he warmed up my nose and save it. Needless to say we went back to the room after that.

The next day we went snow shoeing. Joel and I got snow shoes for Christmas and they are so fun. We went on a four mile hike to this meadow. The meadow was beautiful and there was not a track out there. Jaden even got snow shoes and came with us!

We spent our night hanging out in the hotel room. We did everything from playing hide-and-seek with Jaden, to playing guitar hero. The best was when Jaden wanted Shauna and I to hide and we both hid in Bradli's pack-n-play. Jaden couldn't find us for the longest time.

Finally a warm day of snowboarding!!! It went from -11 on Saturday to in the 30's on Monday. Huge difference!! I am glad we got at least one nice day in.

Jaden got skis from Santa and he went skiing for the first time. He did amazing!!! He loved it. I love his face in this picture. He was picking up speed!!

He would get on this movable walk way all by himself and go up it and then get off by himself and then go down the hill. He caught on very fast!!

Once he mastered the moving walk way Doug moved him up to the tow rope. He did great and was able to go down a bigger hill.

This was our last day in Breckenridge and my parents and Joel and I walked around the town and had lunch and then headed home. We had such a good time!!

I have to admit that I have not been in the blogging mood for quite some time now. Ever since we got back from out Thanksgiving Vacation we have been so busy with working, getting ready for Christmas, and every day life. So here is a recap of what we have been up to.

For Thanksgiving we went to Washington to spend it with Joel's family. Joel went up a couple of days before me and when he was there he found out that he had to have oral surgery the day before Thanksgiving. He had to have gum grafts done. So needless to say this was not the "fun" break that we were looking forward to. The day that he had surgery he didn't stop bleeding for 4 hours straight. He was spitting out buckets of blood. Thank goodness that his mom, Diane, was there because I do not handle blood very well. Joel couldn't eat solid foods for three weeks so eating any kind of Thanksgiving dinner was out of the question. I felt so bad for him. So we spent our break taking it easy and going to movies. Hopefully we can make it back soon because it had been two years since we were there and we were so excited for a fun time in Washington.

Joel grew up in such a beautiful place. He always says how ugly Utah is when I think how green it is seeing as how I grew up in Vegas. But every time I come to Washington I realize what he means when he says Utah is ugly. Every where you look you are surrounded by beautiful trees and water!!!

Joel was a trooper and wanted to still take me around town and to the harbor even though he was in so much pain!!

We had so much fun in Washington for Thanksgiving and I wish I had taken more pictures of everyone but the majority of the time was taking care of Joel. I don't think he will be having mashed potatoes, soup, or pudding for a very long time!!!

The other night we babysat our nephew Brody. He was so cute and so fun to hang out with. Even though I tortured him by taking pictures!!! I realized if you give a baby a phone you can pretty much do anything you want. Even put Joel's hat on him long enough to take a picture.

I can't believe how big he is getting!!! He turns 1 tomorrow!!! We are so excited for his b-day party!!

My favorite part was when he just sat with me and watched TV. He is so adorable and I feel so bad for his huge goose egg on his head. He fell last week and hit his head on their chair in their kitchen. Janelle said it used to be so much bigger than that. Poor little guy!!

Yesterday we had quite the blizzard!!! I was sent home from work early which I was more than ok about. I work out in Lehi and the storm was getting pretty bad so we all left early to make it home. I love the snow and it was so fun to cuddle up and watch the snow fall. It finally feels like Christmas!!!

So I know that was just a bunch of random pictures but that pretty much sums up what we have been up to. I figured I should probably get this post in before Christmas and I have that much more pictures. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!!

I finished covering my pumpkins and gourds in glitter for my Thanksgiving center piece on our table. I think they turned out so cute!!! You should all try it! It is such a fun and easy way to add a little something to your holiday decor!!!

Never a dull moment with Joel!!! It was our friend Toph's birthday on Thursday so a bunch of us went to PF Chang's for dinner to celebrate! After dinner Joel had this great idea to jump on top of one of the huge horses and take a picture. Ha ha it was awesome and everyone was laughing so hard. He is so fun to be married to because we are constantly laughing and having a good time no matter what we are doing!!!

Happy Halloween!!! Yesterday we had a Halloween party at work! So many people dressed up and it was a blast. Everyone brought their families and we had pizza, pumpkin pie, desk-or-treating, and had a pumpkin decorating contest. It was so fun to see everyone dressed up in so many different costumes.

This was by far the scariest costume!!! He dressed up like the Joker from the new Batman movie. He looked exactly like him. All of the little kids were crying and screaming when he walked by them.

It was so fun that Joel could come and share all the excitement of Halloween!!

We had a pumpkin decorating contest and my team decorated our pumpkin like Dwight from The Office. We won third place!!

This team won first place. What a clever idea!!!

I think this pumpkin is so cute!!! I am totally stealing this idea to decorate my pumpkins next year!

Achmed the dead terrorist

Tonight we went to a Murder Mystery Party. We were Jacqueline Hyde and Joel was supposed to be Mr. Hyde but his character changed when we got there. I was a famous photographer that captured a picture of the Lake Blud Monster and made millions from my picture. We were told to wear browns, greens, and camo. It was such a fun night and I can't believe all of the Halloween festivities are over!! I am excited for the holidays to come though!!!

Girls Weekend!!!

On Thursday my mom came in town for the weekend!!! We had so much fun!! I took Friday off of work and we went to Gardner Village. This is probably our favorite place to come at Halloween time. If you don't know us very well we absolutely LOVE Halloween. Both of our places are decorated in Halloween decor from top to bottom!!! At Gardner Village they have all of these adorable witches all over. It is such a fun setting.

I love when my mom comes in town. We do all of the fun girl things!! She is really like a best friend and a sister to me since I am the only girl in my family. We went shopping, went out to dinner, watched chick flicks, I gave her a facial, and made crafts. We both love to do the same things so we have endless fun together!!!

Witchy Poo!!!

We love witches so much that we decided to bring some home with us!!! These witches are so cute!!!

We made two things while she was here. We made these cute T's for Thanksgiving. We mod podged them with scrap book paper. They turned out so good and they are so easy to do!!!

My mom brought this H from home that she bought a few years ago to show me the cute idea. Our T's look just as good. It is such a fun and easy craft for every holiday!!!

We also bought fake pumpkins and covered them in glitter. They are so cute to decorate with and I can't wait to make more. I am going to make gourds and another pumpkin in browns and reds and make an adorable center piece for our table. I love decorating and it is even more fun to decorate with things that you can make too!!!

So as you can see we were way busy and had so much fun together!!! I can't wait for her to come back into town again. Thank you Dad for letting us have such a fun weekend!!!

Night Terrors!!!

On Saturday night we thought we would have a great time and go with our friends Toni and Pete to the Hee Haw Cornival. They have a corn maze, petting zoo, slides, and the Night Terrors. We thought it would be a really fun night full of Halloween activities. Unfortunately, in the first five minutes of being there I went down a slide that they built up with hay bails and plastic and twisted my ankle pretty bad. When I hit the bottom of the slide there was a dip at the bottom and my ankle bent backwards. So the rest of the night was spent hobbling through the night terrors, the haunted corn maze and forest, that they have. I was walking so slow that people kept catching up to us and we had to let them pass and then wait a little while so that we could still be scared as well. Haha oh what a night. I can look back and laugh about it, now that I am feeling better. I really wish I could rewind that night so that I could enjoy it because it was really fun other than that. We would have gotten more pics with Pete and Toni but my camera died right when we were taking one of the four of us :( Just be careful if you do go down that slide at Hee Haw because I wasn't the only one that got hurt. A lady earlier that day broke her leg going down that slide and her bone was sticking out. So I guess I was the luckier of the two!!!

Last night I hung out with Toni and Janelle, while our husband's were at the priesthood session. We decided to have a craft night!!! We are always seeing things in the stores and wanting to make them. Janelle and I were at Gardner Village a couple of weeks ago and saw these cute picture frames for every holiday pretty much. Halloween, 4th of July, just normal decorative ones. We said to ourselves that those would be so easy to make. So last night we went to Roberts and got unfinished frames and scrap book paper and this is what we came up with!!! I think they all turned out so good!!! If anyone wants picture frames for the holidays or their home let me know! I will totally make you some. I wonder what our next craft project will be...
